Alongside those over-arching objectives are our values which we display in our factory for all to see and use in our communications internally and externally to set out who we aim to be.
I say who we aim to be quite deliberately – no manager, staff member, or trainee is perfect and therefore no business can be perfect but if we’re aiming to be these things then we will get better..
We are honest with each other, our customers and our suppliers. We understand and are united in our purpose at all times.
We continually aim to improve our products. We aim for excellence in all our working relationships.
We create space for creativity in our business. We don’t accept the ‘norm’ as the only way to doing something.
We are sensitive and considerate of others in the workplace. We are charitable in the giving of our time and resources.
Advance Engineering combines its fully commercial status with that of a Social Enterprise in that we give away 100% of our profits to charity.
Our partner Compassion Ministries Ltd is a local charity who assist those marginalised in our communities and those suffering from life controlling issues such as alcohol or drug mis-use. They offer a range of programmes designed to bring freedom with options including full-time residential programmes for women through to part-time classroom based teaching open to everyone.
Advance Engineering offers a range of work placement opportunities to those entering the programmes with students placed between 1 and 4 days per week depending on their programme. Programmes run for a period of up to 3 years.
Our aim is to help these people gain skills, experience and qualifications that will enable them to re-enter the working world upon completion of their training programme.
